Open Doors is a literacy and upgrading program that assists people with:
 

  • Reading

  • Writing

  • Numeracy

  • Science

  • Social Studies

  • Computer Skills

  • Employment Skills

  • GED preparation

  • Stages curriculum

What we have to offer:
 

  • Computer instruction is offered at both beginner and advanced levels.

  • Volunteer tutors work in the classroom to assist the learners who cannot work independently.

  • Special projects and field trips are planned to expand the learner's experiences.

  • Summer programming is offered in July and August.

What to expect:
 

The program is individualized so that the goals of each learner may be met.

An assessment is done to determine the skill level of al entering learners. Books and a program of studies are set up according to the results of this assessment.

The Open Doors program is located on the top floor of Elizabeth Fry Society building.
